One Week Later

Two down, Three to go.

Plus some irritating essay-writing to do.

Mostly better, can taste stuff now, only coughing a little bit. Yay!

WE GOT A BARBEQUE! Only a bitty wee one, but omg. Having grilled steaks last night was heaven. Well, actually, a piece of heaven. Let me explain:

Yesterday the Dude had the day off. First, we slept in until the sun crept over the sheets and made the bed too hot to stay in... or we slept in until the cats were so annoying that we had to get up to feed them. You choose your reality. lol Anyway, we slept in and then decided to go for a coffee. We drove to Starbucks and enjoyed our leisurely lattes. Then, we walked over to "the puppies and the kitties" store where we looked at all the pets and I fell in love with the 4-Paws rescue cats. Next, we drove over to the movie theatre to check movie times... but they weren't open yet so instead we went to Home Outfitters. Getting the Dude to go into a store like that was a feat of persuasion since usually he is not interested. I told him, however, that we could get BBQ tools inside. We had a great time looking at all the fun stuff and spent half an hour trying out the massage chairs. Booyah! After spending way too much money there, we went to Canadian Tire to pick up a propane tank. After filling THAT, we drove to Sobey's to buy steaks and mushrooms and um... that's it I think. O we also stopped at the liquor store and bought a bottle of Conundrum, a super-tasty white that we love. After returning home, we had some lunch and the Dude made me a 'bed' on the floor in front of the TV and put on Shrek 2 for me while he washed the dishes. :D Eventually it was suppertime and the Dude grilled the steaks and asparagus while I sauteed the mushrooms. We polished off our dinners and the wine and watched Ferris Bueller's Day off, Moulin Rouge and part of Romeo and Juliet before staggering off to bed. I'm gonna keep this perfect day in my head for a long time. :)

Just wanted to give love and hugs to everyone that sent me birthday wishes for my 30th. It really means a lot to know that you took time out of your busy lives to think of me on my big day. + KARMA to you: Watson, Shizzle, Jac'y, Addie, my family, the Dude, my Regina family, and the friends I've made in my Eng 362 class (thanks for the treats :-D)!

I'm still feeling quite unhealthy- my sinuses are still blocked and/or running freely, my chest is full of green soup, my top teeth all feel loose (thankyou sinuses) and my joints feel like they've been connected with silly putty. But other than THAT, I feel great. LOL Thank you snow mold and/or exam stress!

Exams start Friday and end eight days later. Then, I'm on break until May 7th when I start my spring classes and May 9th when I start back to work. Can't wait to have something new to write about other than being sick and tired. ...bet you can't wait either!! Soon, my pretties.

Update

1. Feeling a little stressed about presentation due Sat.

2. Sick. Have a wicked sinus cold. blargh.

3. Chuck worked on the car... holding my breath for the "all clear."

4. Wishing I had a maid.

5. 9:15 am feeling like I should crawl back in bed.

6. Going to do research for presentation due Sat.

edit**
7. Fell asleep shortly after blogging and woke up 10 minutes before my only class of the day. /sigh Luckily friends saved me handouts and a place to sit! Booyah. Why is it that you only befriend people in your classes in like the last month before classes end? Wouldn't it be easier to make friends on the first day and then have them watch your back and vice versa all term rather than for the last 1/4 of it??

Whoo- where did the time go?

O that's right I've been living in my school work and/0r my doctor's office.

School is winding down, only two essays, a major presentation, five exams and some bonus mark opportunities left... official last day of classes: April 16th.

It's official! I need drugs! Well, to be more precise, I have needed drugs for a long time and finally have some. Antidepressants, that is. Other than the tendency to go for four-hour long naps in the middle of the day I feel great about everything. (Well, except for school and my un-reliable car... but I digress...) I started to dream again and have had some crazy-ass vivid, fun dreams. I hope that means my brain is having some well-deserved R&R. I think it is because even though school is peaking, assignments-wise, I am not freaking out. In fact, I feel pretty good about it all... talk to me again before exams.

edit** lol I just re-read what I wrote and said that school is both freaking and not freaking me out... k so maybe I'm still a little confused... I blame the snow!
