So What's New??

Geez I have no idea when I even wrote last!

Things are humming along. The hockey boys are sucking bad so we won't talk about that. I turned in my application for the Electrician Program... won't find out until MID-December. Like I have the patience for that!... Like I have the patience for ANYTHING.

My man got a job. I am very pleased with him- he's been a good boy.

We have pumpkins to be carved tomorrow. I can't wait, although I know that no matter how hard I try, my jack-o'lantern will look the same as it has for the last 28 years of my life... give or take. /sigh. Maybe I'll be artistic next lifetime.

Put up my picture on FFXIplayers.com... lol bring on the stalkers.

Went to Fright Nights last Thursday with some friends from work. Rode the Tilt-o-Whirl many many times, went through 3 haunted houses and through a creepy maze. Was MUCH fun! Nice to socialize! Screamed my face off too. :-)

Anyway, dear reader, just wanted to let you know that all is well in my world.

Teamspeak2

/sigh. My Oilers lost to Dallas and so far they are tanking to Calgary ; ; Hockey Night in Canada is not a good time to suck.

I'm listening to some of the guys from the LS on Teamspeak2. This is cruel because I cannot talk back, as I have no mic on this laptop. Oh well... it's like a geeky radio station in a way. Kinda fun too, like listening to a police scanner.

Got e-mails from 2 friends I haven't heard from in a while and found out my old friend S is in town from Australia. Hope he calls me before he goes back!

Went grocery shopping today... it was fun. Made A's favourite supper tonight, which was also fun.

Got an e-mail from D so I can stop worrying. I was getting scared that something bad was up. Also getting paranoid that I had done something... even though I KNOW I've been good lately. Geez. Is paranoia a mental illness? Maybe I need drugs. Maybe I should just drink some tea and shut up about it. Mmmm... tea....

O GOD!! I almost forgot! Last night at work I met Rob & Amber of Survivor/The Amazing Race fame.... although maybe "met" is stretching it. I said hello as they walked through my doors. :) Yay! I had a brush with the filthy rich! Maybe I'll get filthy rich now...

Content: the adjective.

Well I am content.

Why? Let me count the ways.

1- I am laying on my livingroom floor in flannel pj pants and one of A's t-shirts, typing a blog.

2- The Dallas Stars are in town to get beaten tomorrow night.

3- I spent a good part of the day visiting my dad. We discussed his winemaking, toured the basement renovations and moved furniture. He gave me pepperoni to eat, homemade sherry to drink and leftover yams to take home.

4- I have most of the items I need for my Apprenticeship program application assembled. Lit a proverbial e-mail fire under those that still haven't given me the references they said they would.

5- A GREAT friend of mine that had left FFXI for an indefinite period came back. He's a good friend of A's and like a little brother to me. B understands... and it's good to have him around.

6- I went to French class at the Park on Wednesday. I really enjoy the lesson and it's great to be back at the Park, albeit somewhat out of the loop! Still, the lesson is stimulating, the scenery is beautiful and the people are great. Too bad E has left for a different Park- I know she'll be missed.

7- I realized today that I met A 4 years ago this month. Wow. How quickly time can pass! We've definitely had our differences, but I wouldn't trade him in on any other model. He makes me crazy: crazy-angry, crazy-silly and crazy-mad... but mostly crazy-happy.
I don't know what's in the cards, but whatever happens I hope I can hang on to this one for a long, long time}.

And so, content I am.
