Well, this, at least, is positive! /laugh Considering that I've got to write two essays for Friday I find the horoscope gods especially helpful today.

In other news, Louis the Wondercat shows a decided interest in all things "video" including the television and my computer screen. If he is not rubbing on, standing in front of, or pawing at; he is watching- either from rest position (both front paws tucked in) or from what I have begun to call the "empty" position... and when I say empty, I mean.... vacant. LOL see above.

Said Wondercat is now staring disgustedly off to his right... a sign that he disagrees with my assessment. Oh well. I'm only human.

But Grinding Leads to Coffee... hmm..... :-D

...whose idea was it to go back to school? did I make the wrong decision? I know everyone has to buckle down at some point because it makes the sweet moments feasable and more precious when they come... but grinding is lonely and heart-wrenching sometimes.

Something in the Air

I suffer badly from seasonal affective disorder. I know, however that things are about to change- I can feel it in the air. Spring is traditionally a time of rebirth, renewal and regrowth. I can apply this to myself in saying that leaving my job was the first step, registering for next year's classes another... To the natural world I attribute my own feeling of relief and regeneration. Spring is here, or if not yet here; shortly to arrive. The analytical would demand proof: although unsure as to whether or not I have **conclusive proof, per se, I do have these clues: magpies building their nests out at the farm, chickadees singing and calling incessantly on my walk to class, a squirrel that I almost ran over this morning as I was leaving school and last, but not least, the big, bright and above all warm sun shining in my window.

All I can say is: thank you for bearing with me over the last few months and let's get together and celebrate! :-D

OOH that's gotta hurt!

So I quit my part-time job. I've been there 4.5 years so it was a really really hard decision. I've been putting up with the small abuses for a while...but what finally decided me was when I did up a month's calendar of my upcoming school assignments. When I saw how much I had to do between now and the end of the school year and took into account my twice-a-week volunteering and thought about housework, grocery shopping, Dude-time and plain old sanity time... I panicked. And I quit. There are so many people that I am going to miss at that place... and so many cool events I am going to miss working... if I think about it, it makes me sad. I cannot, however, justify staying at a part-time job that is sucking out my soul and taking away from a) life and b) school time. Meh. Over and done with. Time for a new beginning; a new chapter... hmm.... sounds like something I heard recently on the news...
